Minister of Music and Worship - Billy Day
Billy leads the Children's Choir and Adult Choir. He also plans and leads the worship services on Sunday morning and Sunday evening.
Billy has been the Minister of Music at Great Crossing Baptist Church since May of 2008. He was born in Louisville, KY and was raised in Elizabethtown, KY. At a young age, Billy made a profession of faith and dedicated his life to serving God. Billy spent most of his childhood and youth years playing the piano and trumpet at church and at school. He attended Campbellsville University where he received his Bachelor of Music degree in Church Music in the spring of 1995. He has taken courses toward a master’s degree at Campbellsville University and the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in both Church Music and Christian Education. Billy has been in vocational ministry and lay ministry since he felt God’s call in the spring of 1992. In his ministry, he has served in churches in the Elizabethtown area, Hodgenville area, and Bardstown area of Kentucky as Minister of Music, Minister of Youth, and Minister of Children.
At Great Crossing Baptist Church, Billy leads the Children’s Choir and Adult Choir. He also assists our ensembles and soloists who offer up praises to God through music during our worship services. With the help of the Worship Planning Team, Billy is responsible for planning and leading our worship services as well. Billy’s true passion is leading worship – authentic, exciting, and meaningful worship.
Billy and his wife, Kim, have been married since December 17, 1994 and have two children: Kevin and Elizabeth. Billy enjoys spending time with his family, reading, listening to music (of course), and watching old episodes of the Andy Griffith Show (black and white episodes).
Billy, Kim, and their family feel greatly blessed by being able to serve at Great Crossing Baptist Church. They look forward to growing in Christ through the worship, fellowship, teaching, ministry, and outreach that takes place at our church. Youth Minister - Kevin S. Buntain
 Kevin was called by God to Great Crossing Baptist Church in February of 2008. He is a native of Lawrenceburg, KY. Kevin has been in youth ministry for eight years. His passion is to make a difference in the lives of today’s youth by introducing them to an eternal relationship with Christ.
Kevin and his wife Ashley were married in May of 2005. Kevin enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, and spreading God’s word.

Church Secretary - Thelma Duff
 Thelma Dawson Duff is the secretary at Great Crossing Baptist Church. Her duties at the church are doing the bulletin, a monthly newsletter, power point programs for the church services, taking benevolence applications, answering the phone, taking messages, taking care of the office equipment, ordering supplies for the office, attend Church Council meetings, assistant church clerk, and many other various secretarial duties.
I grew up in the Sadieville area of Scott County. I attended Sadieville School and graduated in 1958 from Scott County High School. In 1956 I accepted Christ as my Savior and was baptized in Eagle Creek at Sadieville. I was a member of Sadieville Baptist Church until 1980 when my family and I moved our membership to Great Crossing. In 1961 I married my husband, Bennie Duff, and we have one son, David.
In December 2002 I retired from the banking industry. I was hired as the Secretary in January 2003. The Lord had a hand in this. It opened up an avenue for me that in the back of my mind through the years I would often think it would really be great to be a church secretary. I never dreamed this would come to pass. I am thankful for the job and I enjoy my work and the staff is great to work with.
I enjoy teaching the youth Sunday school class. The youth are a blessing to work with. I have served as officers in various clubs and organizations in the community. I also enjoy reading, sewing, needlework, and various community projects. I have worked with the Amen House, Toy Drive at Christmas, No Sale Garage Sale, Fall Festivals, our annual Fish Fry and numerous other projects in the community. It is a blessing to be able to serve others. However, the greatest blessing is being able to serve God in His church and in the community. My mission is to be available and ready to help others in any way that God can use me. It is not who I am, but Whose I am.
