Serving Georgetown

Joint Sunrise Service with sister congregation
Our church alternates with the Great Crossing Missionary Baptist Church in the Sunrise Service every Easter. We host them every other year and their pastor, Reverend Lamont Jones preaches and we serve breakfast for the two churches. On the alternate year they host us and serve breakfast and our pastor preaches.

Fall Festival
We host an annual Fall Festival in our parking lot for the entire community.  In addition to music and games for kids, we do a Fish Fry that normally feeds around 300 people.  Often the Fall Festival and Fish Fry kick start our annual revival.

Thanksgiving Baskets
We prepare Thanksgiving meals for needy families. These families sometimes call the church but often our members discover the need and turn in the name.

White Christmas Project
This ministry serves families throughout the community. Our church coordinates this ministry with other agencies to make sure all people in the community have a chance to enjoy a Christmas with age appropriate gifts and food.

Toy Project
In partnership with Elkhorn Baptist Association, we participate in toy project by donating Christmas gifts to a common fund.  Then parents may shop for the toys, paying 10 percent of the retail value.  Most of the money collected through the toy project is set aside for benevolence needs in the community throughout the year.

Benevolence Fund
Our deacons oversee our benevolence fund, which is dedicated to responding to emergency needs in the community.  We offer assistance with food, utilities, and other basic needs.
